This a 3 days Gorilla trekking and nature walk safari holiday at Bwindi national park, driving from Kampala to Bwindi; where you will spend the two days relaxing, on nature walks to watch the beautiful landscapes and the Mountain Gorillas. This a 3 days pure Gorilla trekking safari holiday at Bwindi national reserve, driving from Kampala with a brief stop at Mbarara, spending two days watching the beautiful landscapes and Gorilla trekking. It’s a great itinerary with options to customize to personal need, by either adding a couple of days to visit nearby wildlife national parks or just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful environment in Uganda.

On this morning, you will be picked from Entebbe airport or on an agreed venue in Kampala, briefed about the safari itinerary and then drive to Bwindi national park with a lunch break at Mbarara; on the way, expect to watch stunning landscapes that include beautiful escarpments, hills and valleys with tea plantations and bananas, Lakes and the Equator. On arrival, you will be driven to Buhoma Lodge; where you will spend the rest of the day relaxing as you prepare for the long day trek.
Note: - depending with how you feel, you could include a one hour hotel rest in Kampala or Jinja before the long drive to Bwindi or opt for a 40 minute flight from Kampala to Bwindi.
On this day after breakfast, you will leave the hotel well dressed for muddy/ rainy conditions and ready for long distance trekking; head to the park's head office for briefing, then start trekking in search of the gorilla, once you spot them; you will spend some time observing them and taking pictures as the tour guide narrates about their way of living, character and behavior. Tracking can take between 2-9 hours depending on the terrain conditions, sometimes it's very tiring and time consuming before encountering gorillas; but it's an unique and unforgettable experience once you spot them.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located southwest of Uganda; The Park is part of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, bordering Democratic Republic of Congo next to the Virunga National Park and on the edge of the western Great Rift Valley shared by Rukungiri, Kabale and Kisoro Districts; Gorilla trekking, birds watching and other primates are the main activities within the park.
On this day, you will leave the hotel with a packed picnic lunch, drive through the protected areas of Lake Mburo national park, the Equator, down to the capital city. On arrival, depending with your flight details, you will either be driven straight to the airport or to Kampala Serena hotel for a brief rest and freshening up before your evening flight.
