This is a 5 days Beach Sporting holiday at Pemba Island in Tanzania; the events include Scuba diving, snorkeling and Dhow sailing excursion among others. This holiday itinerary combines a bit of beach excursion, diving, snorkeling and a quality time relaxing on the beach enjoying various spa treats on offer.

On this morning, you will be received by our representative either at Dar Es Salaam airport or at an agreed venue in Dar Es Salaam, briefed about the itinerary and transferred to Fundu Lagon beach resort at Pemba Island, where you will spend the rest of the five days trying out your snorkeling and diving skills, fishing, sailing among other beach activities.
The hotel is situated on the remote and on a beautiful beach at the South-western side of the Pemba Island and is only accessible by boat; it’s a great resort with plenty of beach facilities and activities that include a fully equipped diving and snorkeling club.
Pemba Island is one of the Islands that form Zanzibar Archipelago, lying across the Pemba Channel to the North, off the Tanzanian coast; it’s a beautiful Island with top snorkeling and diving sites, it has shallow coral lagoons that drop off to spectacular depths supporting a vast range of marine life, a great place for snorkeling, diving and fishing vacations.
On this day, you will set off with your diving gear on a glass bottom boat towards north, along the coral garden; here you will choose to either snorkel, dive or simply relax and enjoy watching the many dolphins swimming around. After that you will then return to the hotel in time for lunch, the afternoon will be left on you to either explore the island or just relax on the beach and enjoy the various amenities on offer.
The following day, again will set off with your diving gear on a glass-bottom boat; head south for more diving, snorkeling and swimming with dolphins. After that, return to the hotel in time for lunch, the afternoon will be left on you to either explore the island or just relax on the beach and enjoy the various amenities on offer.
At around 9am, will take a boat ride to the prison island, it’s more of relaxation excursion that takes half day on the beautiful island; after the construction of the prison it was never used for its purpose and instead it was used for slave trade in the region. The island offers a stunning view of the Town especially during the night, very beautiful sandy beaches with crystal clear waters, coral reefs surrounding the island and it is also a home to giant tortoise.
Return to the hotel, spend the rest of the day relaxing, walking, and swimming at the beach or enjoy other water activities.
Enjoy your last outdoor breakfast at the beach, and a brief walk by the fine sandy beach and then return to the hotel, check out and then transfer to Dar Es Salaam airport for the return flight.
