This a 5 days wildlife and Chimpanzee trekking safari holiday at Kibale and Queen Elizabeth national park, driving from Kampala to Kibale national park, spending two days on chimpanzee trekking, then heading south to Queen Elizabeth national park to watch other wildlife. It’s a great itinerary to watch primates, the big five, birds, different tree species among other lesser wildlife.

On this morning, you will be picked from Entebbe airport or on an agreed venue in Kampala, briefed about the safari itinerary and then drive to Kibale national park; on the way, expect to watch stunning landscapes that include beautiful escarpments, the fabled mountains, tea plantations and bananas firms. On arrival, you will be driven to Kibale Primate Lodge, where you will spend the rest of the day relaxing as you prepare for the long day trek.
Note: - depending with how you feel, you could include a one hour hotel rest in Kampala or Jinja before the long drive to Kibale or opt for a 40 minute flight from Kampala to Bwindi.
on this day after breakfast, you will be driven to the park’s head office; where you will assemble in one place for briefing about the park, then begin the nature walk along the rainforest in search of the chimpanzees, the black and white Columbus, velvet and red tailed monkey, and over 350 bird species. In the afternoon, you will continue the nature walk to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary to watch more primates and birds, then extend the walk to Bigodi Village; where you will have the opportunity to interact with the local people, learn about their traditions and way of living.
Kibale National Park is in Kabarole and Kibaale Districts, approximately 320 km west of Kampala and 35Km south of Fort Portal. It’s the most accessible equatorial rainforest in Uganda and is well known for its high populated habituated chimpanzees and 12 other different species of primates.
Note: This day's event can be re-arranged to include hiking on Rwenzori Mountains
On this day after breakfast, you will drive south passing through the beautiful landscapes to Queen Elizabeth National park; on arrival you will be transferred to Katara Lodge, where you will have lunch and a brief rest before embarking on an evening game drive to watch wildlife that include warthogs, buffaloes, water-bucks and elephants. Queen Elizabeth National park is one of the major national parks in Uganda and is popular in chimps tracking, birds watching among other wildlife.
The following day after breakfast, you will have a morning game drive, taking different route to trace more wildlife, then return to the lodge for midday rest before heading to Kazinga channel for an afternoon boat ride to watch hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and more bird species
Note: For guests, who are into trekking primates, this day's event can be re-arranged; visit Kyambura Wildlife Reserve for a guided primate nature walk. Kyambura is a beautiful gorge completely covered with tropical rainforest and is home to chimpanzees and other primates.
On this day, you will leave the hotel drive through the beautiful escarpments down to Kampala. On arrival, depending with your flight details, you will either be driven straight to the airport or to Kampala Serena hotel for a brief rest and freshening up before your evening flight.
