This is a seven days family beach vacation in Tanzania, the holiday begins at Zanzibar Island; where you will spend three days touring the Island and relaxing on the beach, then head north to Pemba Island and engage in various beach activities or just relax and enjoy a great time with your lovely family; a great package for families who love spending some time together on the beach.

On this day, you will be received from the airport or at an agreed venue in Zanzibar, briefed on your holiday itinerary, then drive northeast Matemwe Retreat. On the way, you will have an easy spice tour; Zanzibar is home to a wide range of spices, here you will learn about them, see how they are grown, the market areas and so on.
On arrival at Matemwe Retreat, you will check in, freshen up then enjoy an outdoor lunch set up by the beach side, in the afternoon you will be free to spend some time together either by the pool side, on the beach or in your private balcony.
Matemwe Retreat is small stylish beach lodge with just four self-contained Villas, located in the village of Matemwe, northeast coast of Zanzibar Island, it’s beautifully situated on large plot overlooking the Ocean and is ideal for families and honeymoon.
On this day, you will be free to either relax in your quiet secluded lounge or engage in small family bonding activities like walking along the beach, swimming, playing sand games, beach football, kite surfing, sharing a meal among many others.
After a delicious breakfast, we start our tour by driving to the house of wonder (once known as the tallest building), then to Sultan’s Palace, then to the Old Indian dispensary, Livingstone house, continue to old market for exotic fruits and vegetables, down to the Anglican church (the site was once used for slave trade), to the state house, Museum and so on.
In the afternoon you will return to the lodge in time for a late lunch, the rest of the day will be left on you to spend some quality time on the beach with your family.
On this day after breakfast, you will take a short boat trip to Pemba Island; on arrival, you will be taken to Fundu Lagon Beach Resort, where you will spend the rest of the day with your family, either on the beach, by the poolside or by your private balcony.
Fundu Lagon is situated on a beautiful remote area South-west of Pemba Island, the hotel is only accessible by boat; it’s a great resort with plenty of beach facilities and activities that include a fully equipped diving and snorkeling club.
Pemba Island is one of the Islands that form Zanzibar Archipelago, lying across the Pemba Channel to the North, off the Tanzanian coast; it’s a beautiful Island with top snorkeling and diving sites, it has shallow coral lagoons that drop off to spectacular depths supporting a vast range of marine life, a great place for snorkeling, diving and fishing vacations.
On this day, will go for a sailing trip with optional activities to either snorkel, dive, fish or just relax and watch other people diving and swimming with dolphins. Then return to the lodge for a late lunch, in the afternoon; will have a nature walk along the coastline to watch birds, the mangrove trees and the beautiful sunset.
The following day will be left free on you to just relax in your quiet secluded lounge or engage in small family bonding activities. In the evening, you will have a special family sunset dinner; set on the beach front just for your family. What a way to end a family beach holiday.
Enjoy your last breakfast at Pemba Island, enjoy your final beach walk and then return to the hotel, check out and be transferred to the airport for the return flight.
