On arrival at Zanzibar airport you will be met by our tour guide who will brief you and drive you to The Resident Hotel. Check in at the hotel, freshen up then enjoy an outdoor lunch set up by the beach side, in the afternoon you will be free to spend some time together either by the pool side or at the beach or in the hotel room.
The Resident Hotel is located on the south west coast of Zanzibar touching the Indian Ocean, it consist of 66 villas, each villa has its own private swimming pool; it’s perfect if you are seeking luxury serenity and privacy for your honeymoon.
On this day, you will be free to either relax in your quiet secluded lounge or in the massage parlor or involve yourself in various water activities at the island which includes windsurfing, water-skiing, scuba-diving, dhow sailing and many more.
After a delicious breakfast, we start our tour by driving to the house of wonder (once known as the tallest building), then to Sultan’s Palace, then to the Old Indian dispensary, Livingstone house, continue to old market for exotic fruits and vegetables, down to the Anglican church (the site was once used for slave trade), to the state house, Museum and so on.
In the afternoon you will return to the lodge in time for a late lunch, the rest of the day will be left on you to spend some quality time on the beach with your family.
At around 9am, will take a boat ride to the prison island, it’s more of relaxation excursion that takes half day on the beautiful island; after the construction of the prison it was never used for its purpose and instead it was used for slave trade in the region. The island offers a stunning view of the Town especially during the night, very beautiful sandy beaches with crystal clear waters, coral reefs surrounding the island and it is also a home to giant tortoise.
Return to the hotel, spend the rest of the day relaxing, walking, and swimming at the beach or enjoy other water activities.
After enjoying a delicious breakfast, drive to Jozani Forest; it’s located approximately 35 km southeast of Zanzibar town in the southern region. It is the only remaining natural vegetation forest in Zanzibar and it contains about 100 different species of trees in a total of 43 families.
you will have a 3 hours guided tour in the Forest, familiarizing yourself with different endemic species of fauna and flora, the red Columbus monkey, velvet cats, variety of small trees, shrubs, swamps, grasses, prawns, and different species of mangroves.
Return to the hotel, spend the rest of the day relaxing, walking, and swimming at the beach or enjoy other water activities.
After breakfast will pack your luggage and check out, then take a boat ride to Pemba Island at Fundu Lagoon beach resort. Pemba Island is a sister island to Zanzibar lying across the Pemba Channel to the North, off the Tanzanian coast. The hotel is situated on the remote and beautiful beach at the South-western side of the Pemba Island and is only accessible by boat.
you will spend the two days at Fundu Lagon enjoying the quiet romantic getaways, the wonderful ocean views, swimming, walking at the seashores, birds viewing, mangrove canoe safari, dhow sunset cruises, village walks, wind surfing, Scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, excursions on the Island, dolphins viewing, massage and many more.
Enjoy your last outdoor breakfast at the beach and a brief walk by the fine sandy beach, then return to the hotel, check out and then you will be transferred to the airport for the return flight.
