This a full day hiking trip at Mount Longonot; the tour begins by driving to Mount Longonot where you will spend the day hiking the volcanic mountain, once you are up on the hill, you will have a picnic lunch and brief rest as you enjoy the stunning views, then descend. Its a good physical day event and can be tailored to meet your personal requirements.

On this day at around 7am, you will be picked at an agreed venue in Nairobi and driven to Mount Longonot; on arrival, you will have some snacks as you are briefed about the event, then you will start hiking using the flank for about 2 hours to the height of 1300ft, at the top you will be able to view some of the beautiful sceneries of Lake Naivasha, the surrounding open plains, the Great Rift Valley and the sunken caldera that lies around 400 ft below; once you are up there, you will have a picnic lunch, followed by a brief rest, then start descending at your own relaxed pace. After the climb you will then be driven back to Nairobi.
Mount Longonot is one of the tallest volcanic mountains in east Africa (2,776 meter above sea level); it overlooks the Great Rift Valley and Lake Naivasha, on the sides of the mountain are V-shaped valleys, ridges with little vegetation and thick forest inside the crater. Some of the wildlife attractions that you many view while on the hike include Buffaloes, Gazelles, Impala and giraffes.
