Mahali Muzuri is a luxury, top class safari camp owned and run by Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin investment company; it is located within the Olare Motorogi private Conservancy, northwest of the Masai Mara national reserve; it is superbly designed with modern and natural elements to blend in with the environment. Mahali Muzuri is composed of 12 unique and modern tents with a capacity of up to 24 guests plus kids at any one time. Every tent comes with a well-done open balcony where guests can relax while watching the beautiful bushy surrounding full of wildlife.
Accommodation is in 12 separated en-suites tents that are beautifully raised on a platform to give stunning view of the area, each tent is furnished with a king size bed, suite bathroom, open balcony, a dressing area, a satellite TV, games console and iPod docking, a lounge area, a complimentary mini bar, tea/coffee facilities and snacks, a safe, hair straightener and dryer.
Meals at Mahali Muzuri camp are prepared from locally fresh organic products and spices, the menu combines African and western cuisines with additional fun dishes for kids. The meals are served at the main dinning tent or on a private nicely set candle lite bush table
In between the game drives or on your free time, the camp has a nice swimming pool to cool you down; a relaxing deck to relax during the day, a health Spa, a camp bar and lounge area, a restaurant/dining area, a library, a gift shop with internet as well and a camp fire area.
No guest are bored at Mahali Muzuri Camp; as you can enjoy exciting morning and evening game drives, guided nature and safari walks, bird watching trips, night game drives to see some of the nocturnal species, hot air ballooning safari and intercultural trips to the local Masaai villages or just relax at the camp to enjoy various health Spa, swimming or reading your favorite book.
The best and easiest way to get to Mahali Muzuri camp from Nairobi is flying from Nairobi Wilson Airport to Mara North Airstrip, then a short drive to the camp. By road it would take about 5 hours’ drive.
Other attractions near Mahali Muzuri Camp would include visiting other private conservancies such us Mara Olare Orok, Mara Naboisho and the Mara Confluence or the main Masai Mara national park.
Mahali Muzuri Camp is located in the middle of a very remote area; there are no modern shops or market places nearby; so it’s advisable to buy all your essential items in major towns before travelling to Mahali Muzuri.
