Severin Safari Camp, previously known as Kitani Safari Lodge; is a beautiful simplified African safari camp, owned and run by a German family. It is strategically set on an open savannah plains overlooking Mt. Kilimanjaro and five waterholes that attracts wildlife. It’s a great place for guest wishing to tour Tsavo West national park to watch wildlife and the beautiful landscapes.

Severin Safari Camp is an eco safari camp located within Tsavo West national reserve, the tents and bandas at Severin are well spaced and designed to blend nicely with the surrounding attracting wildlife close to the lodge for guest to watch.
Accommodation is in 21 octagonal tents, four solid-constructed cottages and two en-suite tents; all the rooms are nicely spaced for comfort and privacy, they all have a king/queen size bed, a mosquito net, own bathroom, a dressing area, a small safe, a hair dryer and a lounge area. The bandas have additional self-catering facilities and the suites have additional tea/coffee making facilities, a mini bar and butler services on request.
Meals at Severin Safari Camp are well planned and prepared from freshly produced organic products, this includes African and western breakfast, lunch and dinner. The meals are usually served in the restaurant or on a private pre-arranged special venue.
Hotel facilities at Severin Safari Camp includes a nice swimming pool, a well-equipped Spa that combines Kenyan traditional and Hindu massage therapy, a dining area, a bar, lounge terrace and ample parking space. Additional services include laundry and baby-sitting services.
Activities include morning and evening game drives, guided nature and safari walks to Mzima springs, bird watching trips, night drives to permit areas, swimming and playing indoor activities among other park activities.
The best and easiest way to get to Severin Safari Camp is flying to Kilaguni or Hattons airstrip then a 15 minutes’ drive to the camp, there are chartered flights from Nairobi and Mombasa. By road is approximately 3 hours’ drive from Nairobi or Mombasa.
Other attractions near Severin Safari Camp would include going on a safari in the neighboring Tsave East national park, Amboseli national park and Chyulu Hills. If time permits, you can extend your drive to Mombasa for a day or two on the beach.
Severin Safari Camp is located in the middle of a very remote area; there are no modern shops or market places nearby; so it’s advised to buy all your essential items in major towns before traveling to Severin Safari Camp.
