This a 3 days safari holiday to Aberdares National Park, that starts and ends in Nairobi; the holiday begins with a drive from Nairobi to Aberdares, where you will spend the three days watching wildlife and going on nature walks through the moorlands; viewing the beautiful hills and valleys, the water falls and wildlife. Aberdares is a fascinating national park with stunning hiking terrains, natural forest and beautiful landscape.
On this day, you will be picked at an agreed venue in Nairobi and driven to Aberdares National park , on arrival; you will check in and drive through the park, watching wildlife to The Ark Safari Lodge; here you will check in, have lunch and a brief rest as you enjoy the beautiful landscapes surrounding the Lodge. In the evening you will have an evening easy game drive.
The Ark Lodge is a gorgeous game lodge that overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick which attracts a wide range of wildlife. This lodge is uniquely built to resemble the actual Ark, having numerous balconies and lounges that overlook the spectacular view of the waterhole.
On this day after breakfast, you will leave the lodge with a packed picnic lunch and accompanied by an armed ranger for a whole day trekking tour; you will trek through the moorland, viewing the beautiful hills and valleys, water falls and wildlife.
On your last day, you will have a morning game drive, followed by an easy nature walk to Karuru and Magura water falls, then return to the lodge for lunch and a brief rest before driving back to Nairobi. On arrival, you will be transferred to the airport for your evening return flight or to an agreed venue in Nairobi.
