Crater Lake Camp is an authentic simplified African style Safari camp located on a small dormant volcanic crater, east of Lake Naivasha. It’s a small spacious camp convenient for small group of friends or family on budgeted holiday, the Camp is also close to major attraction along the Great Rift Valley; this include Lake Nakuru, Lake Baringo and the famous Masai Mara .

Lake Naivasha Crater Camp is a unique safari camp situated on the slopes of a small volcanic crater and a lake, on the east of Lake Naivasha . Accommodation is in tents and bandas that are beautifully designed with the high thatched roof, wooden logs and large open sided windows; the furniture is carefully selected to give the African safari camp theme.
Accommodation is in eight tents and three family/honeymoon bandas; the rooms are nicely spread over the crater overlooking the flamingo-lined lake, each room is furnished with a king/double size bed, a mosquito net, en-suite bathroom, a dressing area, a lounge area and a private verandah. The honeymoon suite has additional large cozy wooden log bed, a double Jacuzzi overlooking the lake and a private lounge area.
Meals at Crater Lake Camp are well planned and prepared from freshly produced product, this includes African and western breakfast, lunch and dinner. The meals are usually served at the dinning area or on a private prearranged special venue.
Additional hotel facilities at Crater Lake Camp includes a restaurant, a fully stocked bar, a dining room, lounge areas, meeting and a conference room for small and medium sized groups, family and honeymoon rooms, private wedding venues, plenty of space for walks and hiking. Additional services include laundry, airstrip transfer and baby-sitting services (on pre-arrangement).
Activities would include relaxing at the camp and enjoying various spa treatments on offer, day and night game drives, boat lake excursions, guided safari and nature walks, bird watching trips, bush breakfast and sun-downer candle lit dinners, hiking and mountain climbing, horse riding, playing golf and local cultural visits.
Crater Lake Camp is 38km From Naivasha town along the Moi South Lake road off Mahi Mahiu - Nairobi Highway. It’s a 1½ hours’ drive from Nairobi, 25 minutes from Naivasha town and 25 minutes via helicopters or chartered flight from Nairobi.
Other attractions near Crater Lake Camp includes; visiting nearby Hell’s Gate national park, mounting climbing at Mt Longonot, nature walk at Eburru Forest, playing Golf or extending your tour to Lake Nakuru, Lake Elementaita or the famous Masai Mara.
Crater Lake Camp is just 25 minutes’ drive to Naivasha town; there are a couple of modern shops, traditional market places, nice restaurants, banks, ATMs, foreign exchange bureau and medical centers.
