UWEC is not a zoo or Safari Park as per say, its more of a wildlife education center that combines wildlife education and leisure. UWEC popularly known as “Entebbe Zoo”, was opened in 1952 by the Colonial Government in Uganda, its located along Lugard Avenue in Entebbe.
