Kampala has a mixed balance of the religions with Christians being the predominant followed by Muslims, Hindus and traditional religions. The major places of worship for Christians in Kampala would include; Aglican churches are All Saints Cathedral on 6 Akii Bua Road and St Paul’s Cathedral on Colville Street. Evangelical churches include Bukoto Evangelical Church-Rural Ministries and Lutheran Church Mission in Uganda. Pentacostal churches includes Bukoto Evangelical Church in Bukoto, Christian Life Church on 713 Bombo Road, Calvary Chapel Kampala on 12 William Street, Deliverance Church Ministries in Nakasero and Kololo, Full Gospel Church on 49-55 Makerere Hill Road, Kampala International Church in Ambrosoli International School in Bugolobi, Kansanga Miracle Centre Off Ggaba Road, Makerere Community Church in Makerere University. For the Roman Catholics they can worship at Christ the King on Colville Street, Mbuya Catholic Church Parish in Mbuya or at Rubaga Cathedral on Rubaga Road among many others.
For the Muslims visiting Kampala; you can worship at Gaddafi National Mosque in Old Kampala Hill, Kibuli Mosque on Kibuli Road or in Nakasero Mosque in Nakasero. For the Temples; they are a couple of Temples within or near the city center that includes the SSDM Hindu Temple on 8 Snay Bin Amir Street, BAPS Temple on Plot 2/8 Nakivubo Place, Shree Kutch Satsing Swaminarayan Temple on Martin Road and the Baha’i Temple on Gayaza Road, among others.
Entebbe is a small town with a mixed ratio of different religions, majority of the residents are Christians followed by Muslims, Hindus and traditional religions. Major places of worship for protestants would include River of Life Church on Masaka - Kampala road, Cathedral Church Masaka, Full Gospel Church on Kampala - Mubende road, Good News Church in Masaka, Seventh Day Adventist Church in Kimuli, Kanzira Church of Uganda, Pentecostal Church off Kampala - Hoima road, among others. For the Roman Catholics they can worship at Roman Catholic Church in Kibwa, Catholic Church in Mpigi along Masaka - Kampala road, Mt. Sion Catholic Prayer Centre Bukalango on Kampala-Hoima road and in St. Joseph Primary School Maya.
For the Muslims visiting the Entebbe region; you can worship at Katabira Mosque in Kabasada. And for the Hindu, you can worship at Hindu Temple on Victoria Street in Masaka or at the Uganda Buddhist Centre on 31 Garuga Road.
Jinja is a popular town strategically set near major attractions of Victoria Nile, majority of Jinja residents are Christians followed by Muslims, Hindus and traditional religions. Major places of worship for protestants would include St Andrew’s Aglican Church on Busoga Avenue, St James Aglican Church on Nile Avenue and The Master Youth and Children Ministries. For the Roman Catholics they can worship at Enkabi Centre Catholic Church on 6 Nizam Road East, Jinja Cathedral Parish in Rubaga Hill or at Our Lady of Fitima Church on Nile Avenue, among others.
For the Muslims visiting Jinja region; you can worship at Umar Mosque or at Jinja Mosque. And for the Hindus, you can worship at Swaminarayan Temple on Oboja road or at Jinja Temple on Bell avenue.
Fort Portal is a hub town for attractions in Western Uganda, majority of Fort Portal residents are Christians followed by Muslims, Hindus and traditional religions. Major places of worship for protestants would include visiting Butebe Pentacostal Church, Kihembo Seventh Day Adventist Church, Pentacostal Assembly of God Church, Kisusu Roman Catholic Church, Ihani Church of Uganda, St Leos Chapel, Kamengo Evangelical African Church, Nyabwima Pentacostal Church, Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness on Bwamba road, among others. For the Muslims visiting Fort Portal region; you can worship at Karambi Mosque, Mosque on Fort Portal - Mbarare road or at a Mosque on Saka road.
