The Majlis is a small luxury resort hotel located on the west coast of Manda Island, north coast of Kenya. The Manjlis is a modern and stylish beach resort situated far west on the Manda Island, the three villas are tastefully designed and decorated to details to blend in the modern and Swahili traditional architectural design; with the high beamed ceiling, large open windows, locally hand curved furniture and art work.
Accommodation at the Majlis hotel is in 25 luxury rooms divided in three separate and spacious Villas, the rooms are in various categories that include deluxe and superior rooms, junior and royal en-suites. Each room is fully furnished with a king/queen size bed, own bathroom, a private veranda, electric fans and air conditioner, a safe, a lounge area and a dressing area.
Meals at Majlis hotel are prepared from freshly caught sea foods and other delicious African and international dishes; the meals are usually served at the dining area/restaurant/private verandah or on a nicely set garden or beach front candle lit table.
Hotel facilities at Majlis include two swimming pools and bars, lounge areas with veranda/garden/beach hammocks, restaurant and dining areas, activity center and kids club among other amenities.

The best and easiest way to get to Majlis hotel from Nairobi; is flying from Wilson airport to Manda Airport or flying to Lamu airstrip and taking a 15 minutes private boat to the resort. By road, it would take about 8 hours’ drive from Nairobi to Lamu or 3 hours from Mombasa then a boat rid.
